The Foolish Couple and the Rumble-y Clouds

A cautionary tale for those with romantic notions involving windy ("the moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas") nights, candles and similar ambience setting devices....
Thunder, lightning and dark, rumble-y clouds can create magic in the woods...specially in the last few moments before the sun goes to bed. It can also tempt a foolish couple to take a walk and when the first big droplets fall, it can tempt them to start running too. The foolish couple without proper runing shoes might break into a run and then give up half way through, walk all the way home and somehow outwit the dark rumble-y clouds. As they dry themselves and nibble on munchies, they might even call their foolishness endearing terms like romantic, cute...mushity-mush etc. etc.

The outwitted dark rumble-y clouds could then come together, rain on their recently repaired roof by the bucket loads and along with the their thundering riends blow up the power lines. The foolish couple who ran home will just smile with glee and light up a whole lot of candles and think some more fluffy thoughts. Tea candles, aromatherapy candles, plain block candles everywhere and the pitter patter of rain on the window pane...it does not get more romantic than that.

Ten minutes will stretch to twenty and then thirty. The foolish couple will want dinner....oooh!! look a candle light dinner. But without a microwave there is no way they can heat up their food. The woman will get mad, the young man will wring his hand, romance (old fashioned or new!!) shall go to a corner and die and the storm congolmerate outside will let out one last "gotcha" guffaw before heading over to distant lands.
