No One Wants Chain Mail Yet...

Last night Subhamoy and I cooked dinner for my parents. Roasted zuchini and asparagus was my contribution to the table. Subhamoy made his special tuna dish and his delicately sauteed brussel sprouts. Not a conventional meal by any standards, but it was good. My Dad had his reservations for the sprouts, but then he eyes any chlorophyll laden food item with suspicion. After dinner we went over to visit Turtellini - our friend Theron's pet of many years. Turtellini was very excited at the sight of my Mom and tried clawing her way out of the tank much to my Mom's delight.

A circus of sorts set up shop in my workplace today. Somebody mailed everyone on the system one of those silly emails about trying to force the gas prices down. That's no problem - one gets atleast two of these mails everyday and dutifully erases them without even looking at them. But today for some reason, somebody decided to educate the sender on the follies of being naive and gullible. A very noble intention on might think. But when this educational material is sent using the "Reply to All" functionality of the mail server, the whole story takes a different turn. The "Reply To All" virus got to everyone on the system and soon enough we had a whole bunch of petulant engineers telling everyone else to stop mailing junk. Needless to say, we spent the better part of the day erasing mails from our inboxes.

It's not tuna. It's "chicken of the sea." And hardworking fishermen harvest these cans from the bottom of the ocean floor.

About Blog Day ... weak knees and vices, eh? Thank you very much! So now I'm this decrepit dotard with a mind like a sewer.

*hobbles away swearing under his breath ... "and all this while I had the Chhobi Biswas persona in mind ... or wait, how about Sean Connery? "*

Subhamoy: Yeah right and I am Jessica Simpson.

Sagnik: You wouldn't believe how stupid some people can be (the stupidity gene I am told is not recessive in nature)...we were still getting mails the next day.

JAP: That is what you get for going on and on about your age and creaky bones...I like the Chobi Biswas personna better and shall henceforth think of you in those terms.
